A History Making Book Sale

History buffs are invited to restock their bookshelves, as the Royal Historical Society of Victoria (RHSV) presents their History Making Book Sale. To be held on Saturday 18 June from 10am - 3pm in A'Beckett St, Melbourne, the event is a yearly fundraiser for the Society and this year will focus on a topic we all love – history!

The History Making Book Sale will feature a treasure trove of pre-loved history books from the libraries of the well-read - with prices as low as $1. The sumptuous selection on offer includes second-hand, signed, mint condition, rare and out-of-print history books in every history subject imaginable, including:

  • Political history
  • WWI history
  • Biographies
  • Sport
  • Australian history
  • Local history
  • American history
  • Genealogy
  • Ancient history
  • Childrens books
  • Cookery
  • Art

and much more!

The Book Sale will be held at the Royal Historical Society of Victoria in the former Royal Australian Army Medical Corps Training Depot - an impressive Art Deco space, listed on the Victorian Heritage Register for its state-wide architectural and historical significance.

This year, RHSV members will enjoy the first choice of book sale treasures at a members-only pre-sale event. The pre-sale will take place from 5pm-8pm on Thursday 16 June 2016. If you aren’t a member and would like to attend the pre-sale, you can join any time prior to the pre-sale evening.

Whether it is in honour of history or simply to score a bargain, a visit to the History Making Book Sale is a must for all!
