Helen Doyle joined the History Council of Victoria in August 2021, representing the Heritage Council of Victoria where she is Alternate History Member.
Helen is an Associate at Context (part of GML Heritage). Prior to joining Context she worked as a freelance historian, working in heritage and in history publications, including as an assistant editor of The Oxford Companion to Australian History (1998). Her published work includes Suburbs at War: The cities of Malvern and Prahran during the Great War (2015) and The Church on the Hill: A centenary history of St Brigid’s Crossley and its Irish-Australian community (2014). Helen completed a Master of Arts in Public History at Monash University where she also completed a doctorate in history.
