
Michelle Fracaro joined the History Council of Victoria in April 2026, representing the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) Victoria, where she is Programs and Professional Development Manager.
Michelle has over 25 years of experience in the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) sector. She was previously General Manager, Programs Manager and Executive Advisor to the National Director for the AMaGA national office. Additionally, she works as a freelance arts administrator, teacher, project manager and producer, operating her own creative business, The Liminal Collective. She has contributed her expertise to prominent national organisations such as the National Gallery of Australia, the Australian War Memorial, and the National Portrait Gallery and has collaborated with state and regional institutions, non-profit organisations, and commercial art galleries.
Michelle holds degrees in Art History and Curatorship, and Education, and has a Master's in Museums and Collections. In 2025, she completed postgraduate research exploring the intersections of feminism, witchcraft, ritual and material culture, and in 2026, she started a Master of Disability Practice and Leadership (Developmental Education).
