Jack Draper and Casper Ruud will meet for the first time on the ATP tour in what promises to be a thrilling Madrid Open 2025 final. Both men have been near flawless in their campaigns, reaching the summit clash without dropping a single set.

Draper, fresh off his maiden Masters 1000 triumph in Indian Wells earlier this season, is enjoying a breakout year. The 23-year-old Brit is set to crack the ATP top 5 for the first time and has quickly emerged as one of the most dangerous players on tour. With his powerful left-handed forehand, solid defensive game, and growing confidence, Draper’s rise is reminiscent of Rafael Nadal‘s.

In contrast, Casper Ruud‘s season is split into two parts. After temporarily dropping out of the top 10 following early exits in Monte Carlo and Barcelona, the Norwegian has found his rhythm again on his favourite surface – clay.

A title in Madrid could propel him even further up the rankings and signal a full-fledged return to form just ahead of Roland-Garros. As the two in-form stars gear up for their first-ever meeting, the Madrid final offers a compelling clash of styles, Jack Draper’s lefty precision and court craft against Ruud’s relentless baseline game and topspin-heavy clay-court mastery.
