An in-form Real Betis is looking to time its leap into La Liga’s top five to perfection as it visits Espanyol on Sunday targeting a third straight win in Spain’s top flight. Los Verdiblancos have now lost just one of their last 14 in all competitions and stand on the verge of reaching their first Europa Conference League final after taking a 2-1 lead over Fiorentina following Thursday’s semi first leg in Seville.Espanyol has done its best work at home this season and lost just three times at RCDE Stadium, going undefeated in its last 11 games in front of its own fans, not to mention clinching a 1-0 win over Betis the last time it hosted this fixture in January 2023.
