Stirrers With Style: Telling Stories of Women Leaders Through an Online Exhibition

In this seminar, Dr Judith Smart and Professor Marian Quartly will introduce a number of online sites for women’s history, with a special focus on their own online exhibition 'Stirrers with Style: Presidents of the National Council of Women of Australia and its Predecessors'.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS: 

Marian Quartly holds the position of Professor Emerita at the Monash School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies. With Judith Smart she co-authored Respectable Radicals: A History of the National Council of Women of Australia, 1896–2006 (2015).

Judith Smart is Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Adjunct Professor at RMIT University. She is co-editor of The Encyclopedia of Women and Leadership in Twentieth-Century Australia.
